2020 has been a tough year for many people and small businesses in our community. Knowing this, we wanted to team up with Community Sharing Outreach Center in Highland, MI and make a donation to their food pantry. ALT Services donated 50 large turkeys to help 50 needy families with their Thanksgiving celebrations. While there are many uncertainties about the future and some anxieties about the present, we hope people will be able to give thanks for the many blessings they have received and look forward to better more prosperous times in the near term. Sometimes a hearty meal surrounded by the ones you love can provide a moments pause from those anxieties and serve as a springboard for focusing on all the positives before you.

Don't Share The Air

COVID 19(1)
During these unprecedented times we must all work together to mitigate the risks associated with providing much needed transportation services.

At ALT Services, we are instructing our drivers to "DON'T SHARE THE AIR".

Stated differently, we are asking our drivers to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by not entering the establishments that we frequent when providing pickup and delivery services.   Our approach is as such...
When making pickups, we will contact the shipper and ask to a door assignment.  The driver will place his trailer in the appointed door.  Once his/her trailer is loaded, we ask the shipper to place the bill of lading on the rear of the trailer.  Our driver will pull away from the dock when it is safe to do so.  He/she will retrieve the bill of lading from the rear of the trailer, sign it and pass the shippers copies back to them from the ground at the dock door.

When making deliveries, we will contact the consignee upon arrival to the delivery location for a door assignment.  The driver will place the delivery documents on the rear of the trailer.  Once the material has been offloaded, we ask the consignee to put our copies of the signed delivery documents on the rear of the trailer.  When it is safe to do so, our driver will pull away from the dock.  He/she will then retrieve their signed copies and exit the premises.

While we are very proud of the men and women that get behind the wheel of ALT Services vehicles, we want to take these added measures to insure the heath of our employees and valued clients.  If we "DON'T SHARE THE AIR" we can do our part to flatten the curve and put this nasty virus in the rear view mirror.

We thank you for your cooperation and look forward the next opportunity to be of any measure of serivce.

God bless and be well

Truly thankful for all our blessings

Newly expanded services to the Province of Ontario!

ALT Services, Inc. expanded its services menu to include providing international transportation services to its clients.

We understand the importance of being able to provide international services to our valued customers. To that and, we applied for and obtained our operating authority for the Province of Ontario.

We fully intend to increase our international presence and capitalize on this very important segment of our business.

ALT Logistics, Inc

Effective 01/25/07, a new company was formed. The name of that company is ALT Logistics, Inc.

This company is a non-asset based brokerage company providing transportation, logistics and third-party (3PL) services to its clients.

ALT Services, Inc. should benefit from the formulation of this company. It is hoped that we will be able to assist them in many of the their transportation initiatives.

ALT Services, Inc., Logo

After having the same logo for several years we decided it was time for a change and we changed our logo. You may note that we no longer have the big blue plane on our signage. Instead, we have decided to incorporate images of the American and Canadian flags.

We believe this provides our current and future clients with a better perspective of our international capabilities and more clearly demonstrates our expended menu of services.

New Truck?

Chad Layport (son of driver Chuck Layport) has a very cool idea for what our next ALT Services truck should look like. We agree... this would be sweet! Thanks, Chad!!
